“I withdrew my endorsement of Paul Cheng and now support Steve Rhee for City Council in D4 because of Paul’s recent budget decisions.

I am concerned about our current City Council’s priorities. The majority seems to be neglecting what is in the best interest of the residents of Arcadia. We have built up financial reserves for future crises such as recession, or natural disasters like earthquakes and fires. The future is uncertain and if we do not have adequate funds in a time of crisis because of financial mismanagement, we may be faced with higher taxes.
I have had extensive discussions with Steve Rhee about the state of our city. I believe we need his leadership and responsible approach on City Council. I feel strongly about Arcadia’s need for better leadership and sensible spending. I urge you to vote for Steve Rhee for District 4.” — Tom Beck, Former Mayor of Arcadia
